WordPress Got Run Over By My HubSpot
Using the power of Christmas music to showcase the power of HubSpot CMS
Story of the song
This song is a parody of the Christmas classic "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer", written and performed by Nathan Gifford, one of our Digital Solution Directors here at New Era Technology. This song is fun to listen to, but is also packed with plenty of ammunition that you can use in those WordPress vs. HubSpot CMS debates that you will no doubt be having over the holiday season.
Starting Nov. 27, right after the Thanksgiving weekend break, we will showcase two posts per week up until Christmas. These posts will each take a section of lyrics from this song and expand on them with facts and details to support the ongoing discussion. You can follow the thread here on this page as we add the content each week, which is also shared on social media.
Contest & Prizes
Yes, beyond all of the great information you'll receive from this, there is also a contest involved! The song references "my Fusion theme", which is the HubSpot theme used to build the page you're reading right now as well as the blog setup used for these posts. This is a powerful and flexible theme that we want you to check out and use, so here's how this works:
From Nov. 27 through Christmas Day (Dec. 25), you can get entries into a drawing. You can get an entry by doing any of the following:
- Download the Fusion theme from the HubSpot Marketplace
- Comment on one of social media posts, which will be two per week, on both FaceBook and LinkedIn. (See accounts to follow below)
- Share these social media posts, maintaining the hashtag #hubspotcmsisbetter.
- Share your feedback on the Fusion theme after you've tried it out.
What can you win?
Top Prize:
While our Fusion theme is free, we do have a Fusion Pro theme that contains additional modules and templates. This upgraded version of the theme currently sells for $400. The winner of this contest will be given the opportunity to purchase this theme for $1 (we can't make it free)!
Additional Prizes:
3 (three) additional winners will receive a free 1-hour consultation to discuss your website, ask questions, or get some assistance with one of our themes.
Fine print details: You can only get one entry per social media post, per each type of activity. For example, even if you share the post 20 times, you will get one entry. You can get up to 3 entries per post as you can get one for each activity: like, comment, and share.
